Roger was recently quoted several times in an article in the Missouri Lawyers Weekly regarding Governor Matt Blunt's strict state enforcement proposals against undocumented immigrants.


On October 9, 2007, Roger McCrummen spoke on an immigration panel at William Jewell University as part of the University's "Informative Speakers Series." The panel also included Missouri State Representative, Tim Flook, Ed Hayes, the President of the local chapter of the Minutemen, Joyce Mucci, a representative from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), and Judy Ancel, Director of the UMKC Institute for Labor Studies.


Roger McCrummen will serve as the Conference Program Chair for the AILA Fall Fundamentals Conference to be held in Boston, MA on October 28 and 29, 2007. He will also serve on the "Employment Based Immigrant Visas" panel at the Conference, as well as the "Workshop with the Experts." Information about the conference can be found here.


In August 2007, Roger McCrummen and others met at our office with staff members from Senator Claire McCaskill's office as well as the office of Representative Emanuel Cleaver to discuss immigration reform.


Roger McCrummen participated as a faculty member on a recent AILA Teleconference: "PERM Strategies and Open Questions and Answers for Newer Practitioners," on July 24, 2007. Link


In July 2007, Roger McCrummen met with Congressman Dennis Moore and staff members to discuss immigration reform.


On April 14, 2007, Roger McCrummen spoke at a gathering of the League of Women Voters in Overland Park, Kansas on the topic, "How Do Immigration Problems Impact Our Local Community?"


On March 19, 2007, Roger McCrummen traveled to Washington, DC to meet with the staff of several members of Congress to advocate for comprehensive immigration reform.


Roger McCrummen was quoted and pictured in the January 4, 2007 edition of "The Pitch" a local Kansas City newspaper in an article concerning a class at UMKC law school to be taught by Prof. Kris Kobach. Back to School
