With unwavering determination, she decided to return to law school in the U.S. where she studied law in her second language while raising two young children at home. She earned an LLM degree in Lawyering and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law, graduating Cum Laude in both programs and with Pro-Bono Honors.

Isabel interned at the Department of Labor-Office of the Solicitor, where she gained experience on immigration and labor law matters, including the regulatory aspects of H-1B, H-2A, and H-2B visas. Isabel joined McCrummen Immigration Law Group as a law clerk in May 2022, prior to graduation.
